The Legacy Remodeling Team Process

Step 1: Contact us by phone or email.

To begin your dream home remodeling project, contact our Office Manager, Allison, by clicking the “Schedule A Free Consultation” button at the top right of your screen, or you can reach her directly at info@legacyremodelingteam.com or 330-459-3361. Simply let her know the type of project you are considering, and the best way for us to contact you, and she will set up an appointment for a free in-home consultation.

Step 2: Free In-home Consultation

At the first appointment Legacy founder, Bill Young, and our creative and incredibly talented designer, Marla will meet with you to discuss your ideas for the project. They will talk with you about how you hope to use the space, and take measurements to see what is structurally possible. By combining Bill’s deep knowledge of construction, and Marla’s skilled use of space, they will gather the information they need to come up with a plan that is both functional and fashionable.

Step 3: Quote and Design Presentation

During the in-home consultation Bill and Marla will schedule a presentation appointment for the following week in our showroom on Akron-Cleveland Rd. This is when Marla will present a 3D tour of your re-imagined space that will allow you to see an accurate depiction of what the project will look like after completion. Bill will present you with a comprehensive proposal of the cost of the project as it is designed on the screen. Our showroom is full of samples of materials so you can touch and see the products that will be installed in your home.

Step 4: Perfecting the Design

At Legacy Remodeling Team we strive to make the first design the best design every time, but our ultimate goal is to give you the space you envision. If, after the presentation, you would like further customization of the layout we are more than happy to continue working with you to come up with the perfect design. At that time we request a $250 design retainer that is fully applied to your total contract amount. Marla will continue to work diligently on any alterations you may want to make on the original designs.

Step 5: Signing the Contract and Selecting

Once the designs are to your satisfaction and the price fits within your budget, a contract will be signed. Marla will then work with you to make all your selections for each aspect of the project. After all your selections have been made and a deposit has been paid, we will begin to order your materials. To ensure the project flows as smoothly as possible, we order all your project materials before we begin any construction in your home.

Step 6: Scheduling and Pre-Construction Meeting

We at Legacy understand that construction on your home can be a stressful process, so we do all that we can to expedite your home improvements by utilizing efficient scheduling processes to allow continuity in the workflow. We will schedule your project based on both your convenience and the expected delivery dates of the materials you have chosen.

When the job is ready to begin Bill, Marla, the Project Manager, and the Lead Craftsman for your job will meet with you at your home. The entirety of the scope of work will be reviewed and any questions will be answered before any work begins.

Step 7: Construction

Our team will take every effort to protect your home and property from dust and damage. Legacy Remodeling Team will begin by installing carpet protector, dust barriers, and any other form of property protection required. Once the project begins, our employees will be working on your project consistently Monday through Friday. We will clean up the job site daily and do our best to keep the project moving efficiently after it has begun. Our Project Manager will keep in contact with you regarding scheduling and construction progress throughout the job and will be your primary point of contact, should any questions or concerns arise.

Step 8: Job Completion

As the project nears the end you will meet with the Project Manager to go over the job in its entirety. At this point, you and the Project Manager will collaborate to make a final list to be completed. This often includes tasks such as touching up paint or adjusting cabinet doors. Once the final list is completed we will take pictures of your finished space for before and after pictures. Legacy has been a part of the Hudson community for over 20 years by forging sustainable relationships with our customers. We have earned the trust and repeat business of our customers by fully backing the longevity of our work with a warranty for anything we installed. If you have any questions feel free to contact our showroom.

We look forward to helping you turn your dream home into a reality!
