The Legacy Remodeling Team Process

Step 1: Contact us by phone or email.

Ready to begin your dream home remodeling project? Contact our Office Manager, Allison, by clicking the “Schedule A Free Consultation” button at the top right of your screen. You can also reach her directly at info@legacyremodelingteam.com or 330-459-3361. Just let her know the type of project you’re considering and the best way to reach you—she’ll handle the rest and schedule your free in-home consultation.

Step 2: Free In-home Consultation

At your first appointment, you’ll meet with Legacy founder Bill Young and our creative, highly talented designer Marla to discuss your ideas for the project. Together, they’ll talk with you about how you hope to use the space and take detailed measurements to determine what is structurally possible. By combining Bill’s extensive construction expertise with Marla’s skillful eye for design and space, they’ll create a plan that is both functional and fashionable—tailored to your vision.

Step 3: Quote and Design Presentation

During your in-home consultation, Bill and Marla will schedule a follow-up presentation at our showroom on Akron-Cleveland Rd, typically the following week. At this appointment, Marla will guide you through a 3D tour of your reimagined space, giving you an accurate preview of how the project will look once completed. Bill will then review a comprehensive proposal outlining the project cost, based on the design you see on the screen. While you’re in the showroom, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of material samples—allowing you to see, touch, and compare the products that could be used in your home.

Step 4: Perfecting the Design

At Legacy Remodeling Team, we strive to make the first design the best design—but our ultimate goal is to create the space you’ve envisioned. If, after the presentation, you’d like to explore further customization, we’re more than happy to continue refining the layout until it feels perfect. Marla will work closely with you, making thoughtful adjustments to the original design so that every detail reflects your vision.

Step 5: Signing the Contract and Selecting

Once the designs meet your expectations and the price fits within your budget, we’ll move forward by signing a contract. From there, Marla will guide you through selecting each element of your project, ensuring every detail reflects your style and needs. After your selections are finalized and a deposit is made, we’ll begin ordering all of your materials. To keep your project running as smoothly as possible, we ensure that everything is on hand before construction begins in your home.

Step 6: Scheduling and Pre-Construction Meeting

At Legacy, we understand that having construction done in your home can sometimes feel stressful. That’s why we do everything possible to keep your project running smoothly—using efficient scheduling to maintain continuity in the workflow. Your project will be scheduled based not only on your convenience but also on the expected delivery dates of the materials you’ve selected.

When it’s time to begin, Bill, Marla, the Project Manager, and your Lead Craftsman will meet with you at your home. Together, they’ll review the entire scope of work and answer any questions you may have—so you feel confident and prepared before construction begins.

Step 7: Construction

Our team takes every precaution to protect your home and property from dust and damage. Before construction begins, we install carpet protectors, dust barriers, and any other protective measures needed to keep your home safe. Once work is underway, our crew will be on-site consistently, Monday through Friday, focusing solely on your project. We clean up the job site daily and work efficiently to keep your project moving forward. Throughout the process, your Project Manager will stay in close contact with you regarding scheduling and progress, serving as your primary point of contact for any questions or concerns.

Step 8: Job Completion

As your project nears completion, you’ll meet with the Project Manager to review the entire job together. At this stage, you’ll collaborate to create a final checklist—often including small finishing touches such as paint touch-ups or cabinet adjustments. Once every detail is complete, we’ll capture before-and-after photos of your transformed space.

Legacy has been proud to serve the Hudson community for over 25 years, building lasting relationships with our customers. We’ve earned their trust and repeat business by standing behind the quality of our craftsmanship and backing every installation with a warranty. If you ever have questions, our showroom team is always here to help.

We look forward to turning your dream home into a reality!
